Biography

Professor Hung Keung is a Professor at the Department of Cultural and Creative Arts, The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK), and an internationally renowned digital media artist, researcher, scholar and designer. He has been involved in the creative and research aspects of film, video and digital new media art since 1995. He holds a PhD from the Planetary Collegium (Zurich University of the Arts and University of Plymouth), an MA in Film and Video from Central Saint Martins (University of the Arts London), a BA from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, and a Diploma in Design from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He was a Visiting Scholar at ZKM (Zentrum für Kunst und Medientechnologie) in Karlsruhe, Germany (2001-2002), and has held visiting scholar positions at UC Berkeley, University of Oregon, Australian National University, Western University Canada, and University of Hawai'i. He founded IMHK Lab in 2005 and was promoted to Professor in 2024. His research focuses on digital media art, interactive media technology, Chinese philosophy and aesthetics, digital moving images, and creative collaboration.
