Dr. Huang Guanxiong is an Associate Professor (with tenure since 2022) in the Department of Media and Communication at City University of Hong Kong, where she previously served as the Undergraduate Programme Leader. She holds a Ph.D. from Michigan State University, an M.Phil. from The Chinese University of Hong Kong, and a Bachelor's degree from Fudan University. Her research interests include persuasive communication, media psychology, and health communication. Her work has been published in top-tier journals such as Journal of Communication, Nature Communications, and Science Advances, making her the first communication scholar in Hong Kong's tertiary institutions to publish in a Nature-series journal. She also serves as a Guest Associate Professor at City University of Hong Kong (Dongguan).
