Biography
Dr. Zhang Yinian is a Chief Physician, Professor, Doctoral Supervisor, and Postdoctoral Supervisor at the Department of Neurosurgical Oncology, Neurosurgery Center, Zhujiang Hospital, Southern Medical University. He serves as Deputy Director of the Academic Affairs Office at Zhujiang Hospital. He received his joint Ph.D. training from Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine and Harvard Medical School, and completed his postdoctoral fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School. With over 20 years of clinical experience, he specializes in microsurgical treatment of complex tumors including meningiomas, gliomas, acoustic neuromas, and skull base tumors. He pioneered the application of high-density flexible microelectrode brain-computer interface (BCI) technology in brain tumor surgery for precise functional mapping and protection. He has led multiple NSFC research projects and published over 20 SCI papers in journals including Radiology (IF 29.1).
