Biography
Dr. Roger Nkambou is a Full Professor (Tenured) in the Department of Computer Science at the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM). He joined UQAM in 1995. His research focuses on the application of Artificial Intelligence in education, including Intelligent Tutoring Systems (ITS), Artificial Intelligence in Education (AIED), Educational Data Mining (EDM) and Machine Learning, Student Modeling, Authoring Tools for Building ITS, and Ontologies and Knowledge Engineering in Education. He has led or participated in several major research projects, such as those funded by the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC), and has published extensively in the field of intelligent tutoring systems, making him a well-known scholar in this area.
