Biography

Professor Fang You is a Professor and Doctoral Supervisor at the College of Arts and Media, Tongji University. She serves as Director of the Department of Digital Media, Director of the Digital Media Research Center, and Head of the User Experience Lab / Automotive Interaction Design Lab. She is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts (FRSA) and a Lifetime Member of the China Computer Federation (CCF). She received her Ph.D. in Computer Software and Theory from Sun Yat-sen University in 2003 and her M.Sc. in Computer Animation and Special Effects from the University of Bradford, UK in 2005. Her research focuses on cognitive interaction design, mixed spatial information and embodied design, and intelligent cockpit design and evaluation. She has led more than 10 provincial and ministerial research projects, including NSFC projects, and dozens of industry collaboration projects with Huawei, Baidu, and SAIC. She has published over 80 papers, 5 books, 2 textbooks, and holds 17 invention patents. She is the course leader for National First-Class Courses and Shanghai Key Courses.
