Professor Qi Yin is a Professor and Doctoral Supervisor at the School of Journalism and Communication, Xiamen University, and Chief Expert of Major Projects of the National Social Science Fund. She currently serves as Associate Dean of the School of Journalism and Communication and Director of the Digital Media Research Center. She holds a Ph.D. in Media Management from the School of Journalism and Communication, Wuhan University, and has been a visiting scholar at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and the University of Southern California. Her research focuses on media reform and governance, digital media management, and internet platform governance. She has published over 40 papers in CSSCI and SSCI journals including Journalism & Communication Research, International Journalism, Journalism Research, Modern Communication, Digital Journalism, Journalism Studies, and Journalism. She has published 2 monographs, led over 10 national and provincial research projects including Major Projects, Key Projects, General Projects, and Youth Projects of the National Social Science Fund, and has won 5 provincial and municipal social science achievement awards. She has been selected as a National Youth Innovative Talent in Radio, Television and Internet Audiovisual Industry, Fujian Provincial High-Level Talent, Fujian Provincial Outstanding Young Scientific Research Talent, and Xiamen University Nanqiang Young Top-Notch Talent.
