Biography
Prof. Shengwu Xiong is a Professor, Doctoral Supervisor, and Dean of the School of Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence at Wuhan University of Technology. Born in December 1967 in Xianning, Hubei, he received his B.S. in Information and Computing Science from Wuhan University, and his M.Eng. and Ph.D. in Computer Software and Theory from the State Key Laboratory of Software Engineering at Wuhan University. He was a Visiting Professor at the University of Paris-Sud (Orsay), CNRS, and INRIA in France. His research focuses on artificial intelligence, machine learning, intelligent driving, and smart agriculture. He has led over 20 research projects, published over 100 papers, authored 3 books, and holds over 50 national invention patents. He has received multiple provincial and ministerial awards. He serves as the Director of the Ministry of Education Deep Learning Course Virtual Teaching and Research Office, an expert of the Hubei Provincial AI Industry Chain Expert Advisory Group, and an expert of the Wuhan AI Innovation Development Expert Advisory Committee. He has served as a Program Committee member for AAMAS (2017-2021). He currently serves as the Academic Executive Editor-in-Chief of JIIL (Journal of Interactive and Intelligent Learning).
