Biography
Prof. Xiaoxiang Gao is a Young Chief Professor and Doctoral Supervisor at Southeast University, and a recipient of the National Young Talent program. He received his Ph.D. in Acoustics from Nanjing University in 2019 and conducted postdoctoral research at the University of California, San Diego from 2019 to 2023. His research focuses on medical ultrasound imaging, wearable ultrasound technology, and flexible wearable ultrasound photoacoustic multimodal sensors and systems. He has published multiple papers as first or co-first author in top journals including Nature, Nature Electronics, Nature Biotechnology, Nature Biomedical Engineering, and Nature Communications. He leads projects including the Ministry of Education Pioneer Program, National Science and Technology Major Project, NSFC General and Youth Programs, and Jiangsu Natural Science Foundation Youth Program. He serves as a member of the Biomedical Ultrasound Engineering Committee of the Acoustical Society of China, council member of the Jiangsu Acoustical Society, and Youth Editorial Board Member of the Chinese Journal of Medical Devices and Clinical Research.
