Prof. Peng Shi is a Professor (with tenure) in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at City University of Hong Kong. He received his B.S. in Electronics and Information Systems from Wuhan University in 2002, his M.Phil. in Biomedical Engineering from Columbia University in 2006, and his Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from Columbia University in 2009. He conducted postdoctoral research at MIT from 2010 to 2011. He joined City University of Hong Kong in 2011, serving as Assistant Professor, Associate Professor (with tenure), and was promoted to Professor in 2020. His research focuses on biomedical engineering, biosensing, bioelectronics, spatial omics, spatial transcriptomics, neural engineering, brain-computer interfaces, and biomaterials, dedicated to developing innovative biomedical technologies and intelligent healthcare systems. He has published numerous high-impact papers and received multiple prestigious academic honors and awards.
