Biography
Dr. Guangfu Wu is a Tenured Associate Professor and Doctoral Supervisor at the School of Medicine, Tongji University, and a Co-appointed PI at Shanghai Fourth People’s Hospital Affiliated to Tongji University. He received his Ph.D. from the Department of Mechanical and Biomedical Engineering at City University of Hong Kong, under the supervision of Prof. King Wai Chiu Lai. He conducted postdoctoral research at the University of Missouri-Columbia (2019-2020) and the University of Connecticut (2020-2023). He joined Tongji University School of Medicine in March 2024. His research focuses on interdisciplinary areas including semiconductor devices and micro/nano fabrication, bioelectronics and biosensing, implantable neurotechnology, and brain-computer interfaces, with a particular emphasis on flexible electronics, semiconductor chips, and microfluidics for biomedical applications, especially in neuroscience. He has published 13 papers as first/corresponding author (including co-first) in high-impact journals such as Science Advances, Nano Letters, and Angewandte Chemie International Edition. He has received funding from the NSFC Excellent Young Scientist Fund (Overseas), Shanghai Leading Talent (Overseas), and Tongji University “Young Hundred Talents” Program (Class A).
