Doris Ka I Ip is an Assistant Professor, Regent for Languages, and Coordinator for International Business and Innovative Communication at Macao University of Tourism (UTM). She received her B.A. in English Studies from the University of East Asia, Macau in 1991, and her M.A. in English Studies from the University of Macau. She has been teaching English at UTM since 1993, with over 30 years of tertiary-level English teaching experience. She has been actively involved in the development and quality assurance of university English courses, and worked on Programme Accreditation and Institutional Accreditation in 2021 and 2022. Her research interests include language learning motivation, learning strategies, curriculum design, discourse analysis, and blended learning. She co-authored Communication Tasks for Tourism and Hospitality Education (1997) and English for Taxi-drivers (1999), a set of self-study bilingual English learning tapes for taxi-drivers in Macau.
