Dr. Hao Chen is an Associate Professor and Master’s Supervisor at the Department of Biostatistics, School of Public Health, Shandong University. He has been selected for the 2024 Shandong Province Youth Science and Technology Talent Project and the 2025 Shandong University Future Scholar Program. He served as a Boya Postdoctoral Fellow at the Beijing International Center for Mathematical Research, Peking University (2021-2023), under the supervision of Prof. Xiaohua Zhou. He joined Shandong University as an Assistant Researcher in July 2023, was seconded to the China National Biotechnology Development Center (National Health Commission) from March 2024 to March 2025, and was promoted to Associate Professor in September 2025. His research focuses on statistical methods for brain dysfunction diseases, high-dimensional statistics, differential network learning, and causal inference integrating multiple GWAS datasets. He has published multiple papers in top journals including Nature Communications, Annals of Applied Statistics, Biostatistics, and Statistics in Medicine. He has led projects including the NSFC Youth Program, NSFC Special Program, and China Postdoctoral Science Foundation General Grant. He has received the Second Prize of the 36th Shandong Provincial Social Science Outstanding Achievement Award (first author). He serves as a Youth Editorial Board Member of EngMedicine, Executive Council Member of the Medical Talent Branch of Shandong International Talent Exchange Association, and Council Member of the Shandong Big Data Research Association.
