Dr. Gaoyan Zhang is a Yingcai Associate Professor, Distinguished Research Fellow, and Doctoral Supervisor at the School of Artificial Intelligence, College of Intelligence and Computing, Tianjin University. She joined the Tianjin Key Laboratory of Cognitive Computing and Application in 2014 and served as a Guest Researcher at the National Institutes of Health (NIH), USA, from December 2017 to June 2018. She has been selected for the "Peiyang Scholar-Young Backbone Faculty" program of Tianjin University and the "Qingbaihui" Young Scientist program of the China BCI Industry Alliance. Her research focuses on the interdisciplinary field of artificial intelligence and brain science, covering brain cognitive mechanism analysis, brain-computer interface encoding and decoding, brain-machine intelligence enhancement, brain-inspired intelligence, and early diagnosis and monitoring of brain disorders. She has led 4 national-level vertical research projects, 2 horizontal projects, and 1 national-level teaching reform project. She has published over 80 papers in important journals and conferences. Her research has received the Second-Class Award for Outstanding Scientific Research Achievements in Shaanxi Province. She serves as a committee member of the CCF Technical Committee on Speech, Dialogue and Auditory Processing and the ACPS Brain Rhythm Committee.
