Biography
Professor Ma Li is a Professor, Master's Supervisor, Vice Dean of the College of Information Engineering, and Director of the University-level TCM Big Data Development Research Center at Hubei University of Chinese Medicine. She holds a B.S. in Mathematics from Central China Normal University, an M.Med. in Epidemiology and Health Statistics from Wuhan University, a Ph.D. in Internal Medicine of TCM from Hubei University of Chinese Medicine, and completed postdoctoral research in TCM Informatics at the China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences. She was a visiting scholar at Claremont University, USA (2013-2014) and Kyungpook National University, South Korea (2023-2024). Her research focuses on TCM big data analysis and TCM evidence-based decision analysis. She has published 50+ papers as first/corresponding author with nearly 20 SCI/EI-indexed, co-edited 2 books, applied for 5 software copyrights and 1 invention patent. She has led or participated in 20+ research projects with over RMB 1 million in funding. Her student teams have won 10+ provincial/ministerial awards in statistical modeling and mathematical modeling competitions. She was listed in the 2025 CNKI National Highly Cited Scholars Top 5% (Traditional Chinese Medicine).
