Biography

Associate Professor Mei Yuqian is an Associate Professor, Master's Supervisor, and Sichuan Province "Tianfu Emei" Young Talent at the School of Medical Imaging, North Sichuan Medical College. She holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Sheffield, UK (funded by CSC Doctoral Scholarship), and completed postdoctoral research at Beijing Institute of Technology (selected for the Postdoctoral International Exchange Introduction Program). Her research focuses on intracranial aneurysm growth and rupture mechanism using Fluid-Solid-Growth (FSG) multiscale modeling and simulation, mechanobiology of vascular and orthopedic diseases, smart medical diagnosis platform development, and biomechanics simulation with medical intelligent diagnosis applications. She has published 44 academic papers and applied for 11 invention patents (9 authorized). She has led multiple national and provincial research projects including NSFC Youth Project and Sichuan Provincial Natural Science Foundation Youth Project, and participated as key member in the Ministry of Science and Technology Key R&D Program. She serves as President of Nanchong Biomedical Engineering Society and Youth Editorial Board Member of the Journal of Practical Cardiovascular and Cerebrovascular Diseases. Her students have won multiple national and provincial innovation awards, including a National Second Prize at the 10th National College Student Biomedical Engineering Innovation Design Competition in 2025.
